Important Template Elements

When designing masks consider the substrate they are being printed on. Big, bold patterns work well. Small detail, in particular text, can be lost. Text should be as large as possible to ensure it is readable. For ‘small print’ you should not go below 24pt for dark text on a light background, and 48pt for reversed out text.

Quiet Zones are particularly important to follow for Masks, they are a 3D product and therefore there are areas of fabric that won't be visible once constructed and worn.

On the example '25 up' Regular Masks Template below, you'll notice there a black dots around the edge of the Template on the finishing layer. It is important that these remain on your supplied files, are visible and not covered by any artwork. They are used at the cutting stage by our Large Format flatbed Zünd cutter.

Regular Face Masks

• Simple rectangular shaped template
• 2 size options, Adult and Child versions
• The purple 'cut line' indicates where each mask will be cut out
• A double pleat is stitched into each side, this is why the visible artwork area is an irregular shape
• An overlayed repetitive pattern design works best with this mask because of the creases
• If placing a logo or text consider the centralised location and adhere to the Quiet Zone
• The template is '25 up'. The same design can be used for all 25 masks, or you can design up to 25 variations

Premium & Luxury Face Masks

• The same template is used for the Premium and Luxury Masks
• 2 size options for Premium, Adult and Child versions
• Adult size only for Luxury
• The dotted line indicates approximately where the hemmed stitching will be located
• The Quiet Zone indicates the approximate position of the Nose Dart and Chin Dart where the mask is stitched to create a shaped fit.
• Consider the location of any centralised logo or text, ensure they will not be affected by the darts

• Two template versions available depending on the quantity you order, '5 up' and '25 up' (see below)
• For both the '5 up and '25 up' templates, the same design can be used for all 5 or 25 masks, or you can design up to 5 or 25 variations

Premium & Luxury Mask batch quantities

Premium and Luxury masks are available in a minimum batch quantity of 5, up to the quantity of 25, then they're available to order in 25's.

Due to the production methods used, there are two different product templates available depending on the quantity you order.

Please make sure you download the correct template for your selected quantity e.g. use a template with 5 spaces when ordering a quantity of 5, 10, 15 or 20; use a template with 25 spaces when ordering a quantity of 25 or more.

The area is yours to use in both templates so you could add a different design to each space or make them all identical by supplying a strip with the same design placed in each individual space - see examples below:
